Jimmy Jib, also known as a camera crane, is a specialized camera support system used in film and video production to achieve dynamic and sweeping camera movements. It consists of a jib arm, which is a long, telescoping boom attached to a base, and a remote-controlled camera head that can be mounted at the end of the arm.  The jib arm can be extended or retracted to adjust the length of the crane, and it can also be raised or lowered to change the height of the camera. The camera head can be rotated and tilted to change the camera angle, and it can be operated remotely using a joystick or other control device.  Jimmy Jibs are often used in filmmaking and television production to capture sweeping establishing shots, dramatic overhead shots, and other dynamic camera movements that would be difficult or impossible to achieve with a static camera. They can be used indoors or outdoors, and they can support a wide range of cameras and lenses, from lightweight DSLRs to heavy cinema cameras.
